Getting Started
Get ORDA up and running in just 5 minutes! This guide will walk you through installing the app and making it available to your customers.
Step 1: Install the App
- Go to the Shopify App Store and search for "ORDA - Order Tracker"
- Click Add app on the ORDA listing
- Review the permissions requested:
- Read orders: So the app can show order status to customers
- Read fulfillments: To display shipping and tracking information
- Theme access: To match the tracking page with your store's design
- Click Install app to add ORDA to your store
[!NOTE] The app needs these permissions to work properly. Your data is secure and only used to display tracking information to your customers.
Step 2: Activate the Order Tracker
Once installed, ORDA provides a guided setup to get the tracking page running on your store:
- Open the ORDA app from your Shopify Admin (Apps > ORDA)
- You will be greeted by the Activate Order Tracker onboarding page
- Follow the Setup Progress guide:
- Step 1: Enable App Embed: Click Enable in Theme Editor. This opens your theme editor with the ORDA embed selected. Toggle it On and click Save.
- Step 2: Add App Block: Click Add App Block to place the tracker on your store. Position it and click Save.
[!TIP] The onboarding page automatically checks your progress. Once both steps are completed, you'll be ready to go!
Step 3: Customize Your Settings (Optional)
Personalize how the tracking page looks and works:
- Open the ORDA app from your Shopify Admin (Apps > ORDA)
- Go to the Settings tab
- Adjust options like:
- Colors and styling to match your brand
- What information to display to customers
- Email or phone verification preferences
Step 4: Test It Out
Make sure everything is working:
- Visit your tracking page at
yourstore.com/apps/orda(replace "yourstore" with your actual store domain) - Enter a real order number from your store
- Enter the customer's email or phone number
- You should see the order details and tracking information!
[!IMPORTANT] Use a real order from your store to test. The order must have been placed after you installed the app.
Sharing the Tracking Page with Customers
Now that ORDA is set up, here's how to share it with your customers:
Option 1: Add to Order Confirmation Emails
Edit your order confirmation email template to include a link:
Track your order: https://yourstore.com/apps/orda
Option 2: Add to Your Website
Create a "Track Order" link in your navigation menu or footer that points to /apps/orda
Option 3: Share Directly
When customers ask about their order, send them the tracking page link along with instructions to enter their order number and email
