Customization & Features

Learn how to customize ORDA to match your brand and make the most of its features.

Your Tracking Page URL

Your order tracking page is automatically created when you install ORDA. Customers can access it at:

https://yourstore.com/apps/orda

[!TIP] Replace "yourstore.com" with your actual store domain. For example, if your store is awesome-shoes.myshopify.com, your tracking page is at awesome-shoes.myshopify.com/apps/orda

How Customers Use the Tracking Page

When customers visit your tracking page, they'll see a simple form asking for:

  1. Order Number - Found in their order confirmation email (e.g., #1001, #1002)
  2. Email Address OR Phone Number - The one they used when placing the order

After submitting, customers instantly see:

  • Current order status (Processing, Shipped, Delivered, etc.)
  • Fulfillment information
  • Carrier tracking number and link (if available)
  • Estimated delivery date (when provided by the carrier)

Customizing the Look & Feel

Automatic Theme Matching

ORDA automatically inherits your store's theme styling, including:

  • Colors and fonts
  • Button styles
  • Overall layout design

This means the tracking page looks like a natural part of your website, not a separate app.

Custom Branding (Settings)

Want more control? Customize these options in the ORDA app settings:

  1. Open ORDA from your Shopify Admin
  2. Go to the Settings tab
  3. Adjust:
    • Brand Colors: Choose custom colors for buttons, headers, and accents
    • Logo Display: Show/hide your store logo on the tracking page
    • Page Title: Set a custom heading like "Track Your Order" or "Where's My Package?"
    • Welcome Message: Add a friendly greeting for customers

Advanced Styling (For Developers)

If you have web development experience or access to a developer, you can add custom CSS to further personalize the tracking page appearance. This option is available in the app's advanced settings.

Display Options

What Information to Show

Choose what customers see on the tracking page:

  • Order Status: Show current fulfillment status
  • Product Details: Display items in the order with images
  • Shipping Address: Show where the order is being delivered
  • Tracking Links: Provide direct links to carrier tracking pages
  • Order Timeline: Show a visual timeline of order progress

Verification Method

For security, customers must verify they placed the order. Choose which method to require:

  • Email Only: Customers enter their email address
  • Phone Only: Customers enter their phone number
  • Either Email or Phone: Customers can use whichever they prefer (Recommended)

[!NOTE] This verification ensures customers can only view their own orders, protecting customer privacy.

Supported Features

Multi-Carrier Support

ORDA works with all shipping carriers that Shopify supports, including:

  • USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL (and more)
  • Local and regional carriers
  • Custom fulfillment services

If Shopify has the tracking information, ORDA can display it.

Multiple Fulfillments

If an order ships in multiple packages, ORDA shows all fulfillment tracking numbers and statuses separately, so customers know about every shipment.

Order Status Updates

The tracking page automatically refreshes with the latest information from your Shopify store. When you update an order or fulfillment in Shopify, those changes appear on the tracking page right away.

Mobile Responsive

The tracking page works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Customers can check their orders from any device.

Sharing Your Tracking Page

In Email Notifications

Add a link to your order tracking page in Shopify's email notifications:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications in your Shopify Admin
  2. Edit the Order confirmation or Shipping confirmation email
  3. Add a link to https://yourstore.com/apps/orda

On Your Website

Create a "Track My Order" link in your:

  • Main navigation menu
  • Footer
  • Customer account page
  • Help/Support page

Social Media & Support

When customers contact you asking about their order:

  • Share the tracking page link
  • Include their order number
  • Remind them to enter the email they used when ordering

Understanding Order Statuses

Here's what different order statuses mean:

  • Unfulfilled: Order received, preparing to ship
  • Partially Fulfilled: Some items shipped, others still processing
  • Fulfilled: All items have been shipped
  • In Transit: Package is on its way
  • Out for Delivery: Package will arrive today
  • Delivered: Package successfully delivered

[!TIP] These statuses come directly from your shipping carrier and Shopify, ensuring accuracy.

Privacy & Security

  • Customers can only view orders that match their email or phone number
  • No order information is stored outside of Shopify
  • The tracking page uses secure HTTPS encryption
  • All data handling complies with Shopify's security standards
