Is Easy POS on the App Store?
No. It is in the studio. There is no install button and no App Store charge. Write to [email protected] if you want it on a shop.
Does this replace Shopify POS?
No. It is a register in the browser for cash sales. It is not the Shopify POS app, and it does not take cards. A barcode scanner and customer lookup are not on the register today.
What happens to a cash sale?
It becomes a paid Shopify order, fulfilled as an in-store pickup. The register shows the order number. The order stays in Shopify admin, and inventory moves when the order is fulfilled.
How do staff sign in?
With the 4-digit PIN from Staff Management. Two people in the same shop cannot share a PIN. Deactivating someone blocks that PIN without deleting their sales. The Shopify admin password will not open the register.
Adding a new person is the only plan check in the app. Free cannot add staff. Pro and Advanced can. Those tiers are configured in the app. They are not a listing.
Can I choose what the register shows?
Yes. In POS Configuration, name the pickup desk, pick collections, and hide empty ones. Leave the collection list empty to show them all. Staff scroll the catalog from there.
How is tax worked out?
Shopify calculates tax from your store's own tax settings before the total is shown. The amount collected and the amount on the order are the same number.
What do Free, $9.99, and $24.99 mean?
They are the Free, Pro, and Advanced tiers configured in the app. They are not an App Store listing, and Easy POS cannot bill them from the App Store.
The catalog is slow.
Scroll through it. The register does not load every product before you can sell.
Staff cannot sign in.
Check the PIN and that the staff member was added. A PIN is required.
Staff see products from the wrong collection.
Change the collections selected for the register, then sign in again.
Where is the order after the sale?
In Shopify, under the order number shown on the register. The sale is a Shopify order.
Two people are sharing one PIN.
Add each person and give each a PIN. A shared PIN does not tell you who sold.
The PIN is rejected.
Confirm the staff member was saved, then sign in again. The register does not use the Shopify staff password.
