Portal Customization & Experience

The Customer Portal is the face of Claimify on your store. You can fully customize its appearance and functionality to provide a seamless extension of your Shopify theme.

Portal Customization

In the Customization -> Portal tab, you can adjust how your public claims pages look and behave.

1. Visual Presets

Choose from five design themes:

  • Default: The standard clean Shopify aesthetic.
  • Minimal: Stripped back for high-end boutique stores.
  • Elegant: Refined typography and soft shadows.
  • Professional: Bold colors and clear borders for a "utility" feel.
  • Dark: High-contrast dark mode for specialized stores.

2. Branding & Colors

Match the portal to your brand by setting custom hex codes:

  • Primary Color: The color of your main buttons and status badges.
  • Secondary Color: Used for hovered states or secondary actions.
  • Background Color: Adjust the overall page background (e.g., matching your theme's site-wide background).
  • Text Color: Ensure readability across your chosen backgrounds.

3. Layout Options

  • View Layout: Switch between a List or Grid view for how multiple claims are displayed to a customer.
  • Page Title: Change the main heading of the portal (e.g., "Returns Center" instead of "My Claims").

Functional Toggles

You can control what information is exposed to the customer to simplify or enhance their experience.

  • Status Timeline: Toggle whether customers see a detailed vertical timeline of their claim's history.
  • Show FAQs: Display a frequently asked questions section directly on the claim tracking page.
  • Previous Claims: Allow customers to see their history of past claims after logging in.
  • Default Form: Set which claim form should be shown if a customer visits your proxy page without a specific form ID.

The Portal Workflow

Order Lookup & Identification

  • Automatic Auth: If a customer is logged into Shopify, we automatically pull their orders.
  • Public Lookup: Guest customers can use their Order Number and Email to securely access their claim data.

Mobile-First Design

The portal is fully responsive. Whether customers are uploading photos from their iPhone or checking their status on a desktop, the experience is optimized for speed and clarity.

Real-Time Communication

The portal acts as a two-way chat. When your team adds a Public Comment in the admin, it appears instantly on the customer's portal page. Customers can reply directly, keeping all communication centralized and attached to the claim record.
