Troubleshooting Syncto
Syncto is not on the Shopify App Store. These checks are for a store where XCO has already installed it.
The other store never received files
The link has to be approved on that store. A pending request does not copy. Open Link Stores on the target shop and approve the incoming request. If the link was revoked, reconnect it, then run the copy again.
Link Stores will not send another request
Free allows one other store. That is the cap the app applies. The page says when the limit is reached. Pro and Advanced are configured in the app and are not a charge you can start from a listing.
One store failed and the others look empty
If a linked store cannot be reached, that store fails on its own. The other stores in the same run can still receive files. Open History and read each row. Do not treat a single failure message as proof that nothing was copied.
History says partial
Some of the expected files were found and some were not. The row lists the missing names. Run again for those files only after you know why they were left out. A common reason is Exclude config files, which hides JSON settings files unless you turn it off.
A section looks blank on the target
The snippet, section, or block it uses may have stayed behind. On the file step, leave Auto-detect and add missing dependencies on, then copy again. Syncto only adds those related theme files. It does not invent a file that was not in the source theme.
The live storefront changed and you did not mean it to
You chose the main theme and confirmed it. Syncto cannot undo that write. Publish a backup theme from Shopify if you have one, or copy the files you want onto a theme that is not live and publish that theme when the preview looks right.
Settings on the target shop changed
Exclude config files was off, so JSON settings files were included. Leave that option on unless you intend to replace those settings.
Still stuck
Email [email protected] with both shop domains, the source and target theme names, and whether history says success, partial, or failed. A screenshot of that history row is enough.
