Getting Started

Get Workify up and running in just a few minutes! This guide will walk you through installing the app and creating your first job posting.

Step 1: Install the App​

  1. Go to the Shopify App Store and search for "Workify"
  2. Click Add app on the Workify listing
  3. Review the permissions requested and click Install app

[!NOTE] The app needs these permissions to work properly. Your data is secure and only used for the hiring features.

Step 2: Complete the Onboarding​

When you first open Workify, you will see a welcome screen with setup steps:

  1. Post Your First Job — Create at least one job listing
  2. Customize Your Jobs Page — Set up how your careers page looks
  3. Enable App Embed — Turn on the app in your theme
  4. Add Jobs Section — Add the jobs block to your store pages

Complete each step by clicking the action buttons. You can also skip and do this later.

Step 3: Post Your First Job​

You have two options:

Option A: Use a Template​

  1. Click Post First Job
  2. Choose a ready-made template (like "Marketing Manager" or "Sales Representative")
  3. Click Use This Template
  4. The job is created instantly

Option B: Create Custom Job​

  1. Click Post First Job
  2. Click Create Custom Job
  3. Fill in the job details:
    • Job Title (required)
    • Job Type (Full-time, Part-time, etc.)
    • Location (required)
    • Description (required)
  4. Click Create Job

Step 4: Enable App Embed in Your Theme​

For Workify to work on your store, you need to enable it in your theme:

  1. Click the Enable App Embed button in onboarding
  2. You will go to your theme editor
  3. Find "Workify" in the App embeds section
  4. Toggle it ON
  5. Click Save

[!IMPORTANT] This step is required. Without enabling the app embed, your jobs page won't work.

Step 5: Test It Out​

Make sure everything is working:

  1. Visit your jobs page at yourstore.myshopify.com/apps/workify
  2. Click on a job listing
  3. Fill out and submit a test application
  4. Check if it appears in your Applications in Workify

After setup, your jobs page will be available at:

https://yourstore.myshopify.com/apps/workify

Replace "yourstore" with your actual store name.
