Troubleshooting Fieldra
The preview says nothing matches
The filter may be narrower than you think. Clear it and check the count again. Products, collections, and customers use the same search as Shopify admin. Variants cannot be filtered, so a variant edit always covers every variant.
A delete also shows nothing to clear when that custom field is not set on the matching records.
If the field list itself is empty, the fields have not been brought in from Shopify yet. Run that sync from the checklist or the custom fields page, then look again.
The value will not save, or it looks like the wrong kind
The editor follows the kind of custom field. A date needs a date, a yes/no needs true or false, money needs an amount and a currency, and a list is one item per line. Pick the field again so the matching editor opens, then re-enter the value.
Turning a field off only hides it from Fieldra. It does not remove the value stored on the product or customer.
The bulk edit never shows a per-record result
Saving an edit does not run it. The list should show it as waiting. Choose Run there, then open the run. Results appear as each record is processed. A large set can still be running after you leave the page. Open it again before you start a second edit.
If the run failed, Retry runs that edit again. Retry is for the whole run, not a single row. You can cancel a run that is still waiting or still going.
An automation does not show a completed run
Read the status on the automations list.
- Paused means the rule is switched off. Resume it.
- Scheduled means it is waiting for the next time. Times are in UTC, so a morning run may not match the shop's local morning.
- Pending or In progress means a run has been asked for and has not finished. Wait, then look again.
- Failed means the latest run did not complete. Open it and read the status before you create a second rule that does the same thing.
- Completed means the latest run finished.
Run now asks for a run immediately when one is not already in progress.
Still stuck
Email [email protected] with the shop domain, whether you were editing products or customers, and a screenshot of the preview or the automation status. Say what you expected the custom field to hold.
