Getting started with AI Blogs
AI Blogs is not on the Shopify App Store. Email [email protected] or book a call if you need it on a store.
You need a blog in the Shopify admin before a published article has anywhere to go. Create one under Content, then come back and select it on the campaign.
1. Pick products or a tag
Open AI Campaigns and choose Create Campaign.
Select the products the articles should cover. One product is enough for a first run. Choose something you know well so you can judge the draft.
You can also pick a tag those products already have. AI Blogs lists the tags on the products you selected, and you can add one as a keyword or as the audience. The draft is still for the products you selected. It does not pull in every other product that happens to wear that tag.
Give the campaign a title. Set the writing tone (professional, casual, friendly, or authoritative), a target length between 100 and 2,000 words, and whether product images belong in the article. Choose the blog the article should go to when you later publish it.
2. Set how often the campaign runs
On the same campaign, set the start date and time.
When you selected more than one product, also set the repeat: daily, weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or quarterly. A campaign with a single product asks for a start time only.
A run creates drafts. It does not put them on your storefront.
3. Generate drafts
Save the campaign, then Send it from the campaign list.
AI Blogs writes one draft per product you selected: a title, a body, a short summary, tags, and an image when you asked for product images. The draft uses that product's title, description, price, vendor, tags, and images, plus the brief you set.
Drafts show under Generated Articles. They stay there until you publish them.
4. Review before you publish
Open the draft and read it. Check the product name, the claims, and the summary.
Publishing is a separate button on that article. Press Publish only when you want it on the blog you chose. Nothing is added to the storefront before that.
AI Blogs does not include its own editor for the body. After the post exists, Edit article opens Shopify's article editor so you can reword it there. Then open the post on the storefront blog and read it as a customer would.
5. See the monthly allowance
Each generated article counts toward the month:
- Free — 2 articles
- Pro — 20 articles, $19.99 a month
- Advanced — 100 articles, $49.99 a month
These amounts are not an App Store listing.
On AI Campaigns, the app tells you when the allowance is used up, how many articles the plan includes, and how many have been generated. The campaign keeps the schedule you set, but no new drafts are produced until the allowance resets at the start of the next month, or you change plan. The plans button opens the plan that allows more articles.
