Common Beginner Mistakes

Mistake 1: Forgetting to Enable the App Embed

Floaty will not show on your store until you enable it in the theme customizer.

Fix: Click "Open theme editor" in the app, wait for the toggle to enable, then save.

Mistake 2: Not Saving Changes

If you close the app without saving, your buttons will not update.

Fix: Always click Save after making changes.

Mistake 3: Using Wrong Action Values

If you type a phone number incorrectly or use a broken URL, the button will not work.

Fix: Double-check all phone numbers, email addresses, and links.

For phone numbers, use international format: +1234567890

Mistake 4: Setting the Group to Inactive

If your button group is inactive, it will not appear on your store.

Fix: Make sure the group toggle shows as Active.

Mistake 5: Too Many Button Groups

Adding too many floating buttons can overwhelm customers.

Fix: Start with one button group. Add more only if needed.
